Iridium
 | Iridium's coverage area is 100% of our planet, and its satellite phones work in any country in the world, in all seas and oceans, in the Arctic and at the poles.
Consists of 66 low-orbit satellites (780 km above the earth) and provides voice, data and SMS services. The Iridium system can handle sending/receiving email and files up to 150 KB in size. Tariffs for telephone calls range from USD 0.70 - 1.40 per minute.

Iridium NEXT is the second generation of satellites that were developed to replace the first generation satellites.
New satellites expanded the system throughput to 1.4 Mb/s on new terminals, and also made it possible to provide additional services
